Workplace policies provide information and set clear expectations, particularly about behaviour at work and during work-related activities, and help everyone understand how psychosocial risks are managed. Policies alone should not be relied on to control psychosocial risks. Policies relating to psychosocial risks must be developed in consultation with workers and any HSRs, and all workers must be made aware of them and of what is expected of them. There may be separate policies or one policy covering several WHS issues.
