Australia Model Code of Practice Managing Noise and Preventing Hearing Loss at Work
Chapter 1 Introduction: duty holders, the risk management process, consultation, information, training, instruction and supervision – Australia Model Code of Practice Managing Noise and Preventing Hearing Loss at Work

Australia Model Code of Practice Managing Noise and Preventing Hearing Loss at Work 1.2-COORD: Consult, cooperate and coordinate with every other duty holder sharing responsibility for the same noise matter, exchanging information on who is doing what so that risks are eliminated or minimised together

What does 1.2-COORD require?

Under section 46 of the WHS Act a PCBU must consult, cooperate and coordinate activities, so far as is reasonably practicable, with every other person who holds a work health and safety duty in relation to the same matter. More than one business is often involved in managing hazardous noise, whether through shared activities or a shared workplace; each duty holder should exchange information to establish who is doing what and work together in a cooperative and coordinated way so that risks are eliminated or minimised. The Code of Practice on consultation, cooperation and coordination gives further guidance.
