Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks
Section 2: Step 1, identify hazards – Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks

Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks 2.1d: 2.1 Review available information and analyse records for hazards

Information on hazards for particular industries and work types is available from regulators, industry associations, unions, specialists and consultants, and suppliers provide safety data sheets and instruction manuals. Records of health monitoring, incidents, workers' compensation, near misses, complaints, sick leave, turnover, inspections and investigations should be analysed. Where someone was harmed doing a task, a hazard exists that could hurt another person and the incident should be investigated to find it.
