The principal contractor must ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, that every person required to carry out construction work on the project is made aware of the plan's content and of their right to inspect it at any time, before starting work (r 310), for example by giving subcontractors a copy to brief their workers and checking they did, displaying it on site, or giving each worker a copy.
