Australia Life Insurance Code of Practice (CALI Life Code) 3.10-3.12: Written notice before each policy anniversary

Before every anniversary the policy owner receives a written notice stating what is insured and for how much, the reason for any premium increase, how premiums could change under the structure, how to claim, the risks of cancelling and replacing the policy, and how to contact the insurer to change the policy or if premiums are hard to pay; where relevant it reminds the owner at least yearly whether the maximum claim depends on earnings at claim time. For CCI the notice shows the period and types of cover and contact details; group policies are excluded.
