Reinsurer members comply by following the seven principles and by helping the insurer meet its Code commitments. Before contracting with a reinsurer that is neither a CALI member nor a Code adopter, the insurer takes reasonable steps to satisfy itself that the reinsurer will follow those principles and support the insurer's Code obligations.
