Annual leave is provided by the NES; employees regularly rostered on Sundays and public holidays are shiftworkers entitled to the extra week. During annual leave the employer must pay a 17.5% loading on the minimum rate or, for shiftworkers, the higher of that loading or the weekend and shift penalties they would have received.
