Australia Health Practitioner Regulation National Law 2009 s119: s 119 No claims about a type of registration, endorsement or specialty not held

A registered practitioner does not knowingly or recklessly claim or hold out to hold, or be qualified to hold, a type of registration or endorsement (for example an endorsement for scheduled medicines, as a nurse practitioner or for acupuncture) or specialist registration in a recognised specialty they do not hold (not an offence for the practitioner, but grounds for action); and no person makes those claims about another (offence, same maximum penalties as s 113).
