Australia Franchising Code of Conduct (Franchising Regulations 2024) s62-64: ss 62 to 64 Do not vary agreements retrospectively, misuse former franchisee data or restrict franchisee associations

A franchisor must not vary an agreement with retrospective effect without the franchisee's written consent, must not disclose a former franchisee's personal information to a prospective franchisee unless it gave 14 days' written notice of the right to object and no objection was received, and must not restrict or impair franchisees' freedom to form or join an association for a lawful purpose.
