Part 4: Franchisor obligations, agreement terms, transfer and termination – Australia Franchising Code of Conduct (Franchising Regulations 2024)

Australia Franchising Code of Conduct (Franchising Regulations 2024) s50-53: ss 50 to 53 Honour cooling off rights and refund within 14 days

A franchisee may end a new franchise agreement within 14 days after entering it (unless it validly opted out), or after receiving lease documents later, and a transferee may end a transferred agreement within its cooling off period; the franchisor must then repay the amounts the Code requires, less reasonable expenses where the agreement allows.
