On top of annual leave pay, the employer pays a 17.5% annual leave loading for day work. For a shiftworker, where the shift loadings they would have received had they not been on leave would give a greater amount than 17.5%, those shift loadings are added instead. The loading also applies to proportionate leave paid on termination, except where the employee was dismissed for misconduct, malingering, inefficiency, refusing duty or neglect of duty.
