Australia Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) s981B: ss 981B to 981H Pay client money into a designated trust account on the day of receipt or the next business day

A licensee pays money it receives from or for clients in connection with financial services or products into a designated account with an Australian ADI (or other permitted account) containing only client money and permitted interest or investment proceeds, on the day received or the next business day, meeting any additional regulation or licence requirements (s 981B, civil penalty), and withdraws and uses it only as Subdivision A permits; money in the account is held on trust for the clients.
