People deliver the program. The provider recruits and retains enough academic staff for its student numbers and its approach to learning, teaching and assessment, and maintains a professional staff profile suited to its purpose and the program's development. It follows a written plan for attracting and keeping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Maori staff, at a level sufficient to implement and develop the First Nations health curriculum, with clear succession planning. It draws on educational expertise, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Maori expertise among it, in developing and managing the program. Patients and community members who take a formal part in planned teaching are recruited, supported and trained through inclusive and properly resourced processes that bring in groups facing health inequity and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Maori communities. It ensures staff are indemnified for their involvement in developing and delivering the program.
