Section 2: Design and construction requirements for food premises – AS 4674-2004 Design, Construction and Fit-out of Food Premises

AS 4674-2004 Design, Construction and Fit-out of Food Premises 2.6.1: 2.6.1 Lighting: general requirements

All food premises have natural or artificial lighting that complies with the Building Code of Australia, subject to two additions: natural lighting gives light levels equal to those required for artificial lighting, and artificial lighting also complies with AS/NZS 1680.2.4 as well as AS 1680.1. Dining and drinking areas may have subdued lighting if lighting meeting those requirements is available for cleaning and inspection. Surface mounted conduits on walls and ceilings have smooth exposed surfaces.
