Where the whole floor is waterproofed, a waterstop with its vertical leg flush with finished floor is installed at floor-level openings, and the floor membrane is sealed to it and to the perimeter flashing. Otherwise, the flush waterstop at the opening must be integral with the perimeter flashing. Perimeter flashing to walls, floors and door openings is continuously sealed to the horizontal surface, rises at least 25 mm above finished floor (except across doorways) and has a horizontal leg at least 50 mm wide. At cavity sliding doors the waterstop is returned across the cavity opening with membrane forming a continuous perimeter flashing.
