Five-yearly: complete all shorter-interval activities; where there is a booster, hydrostatically test the whole system at one and a half times the working pressure set by the design Standard, then a booster connection flow test to AS 2419.1 or the approved design Standard after the hydrostatic test passes; change all booster inlet washers (greasing the internal spring-loaded check valves of the booster once every 10 years); renew drain and test valve washers or gland packing; fit new stop valve gland packing; fit new hydrant valve seatings and lubricate spindles (advised before the hydrostatic test); fit new seats and gaskets to the supply check valves; check all gauges against a calibrated gauge; and service tanks to Section 5.
