Five-yearly for fire pumpsets: complete the monthly, six-monthly and yearly activities; repack pump glands; overhaul the circulation relief valve, the system relief valve, the engine cooling valve and any pressure regulating valve to the supplier's specification; fit new gland packing and lubricate stop valve spindles and check ball and butterfly valves for leakage; replace diesel engine air filters (marking the install date is advised); return all equipment to operation. Hose reel and pressure maintenance or jacking pumpsets are maintained as needed based on their inspections: monthly check pump areas, guards and damage, valves open or closed as labelled and secured, any supply tank full, controller status and lamps, and verify manual and automatic operation recording cut-in and cut-out pressures; six-monthly add a check of hydro-pneumatic accumulator air pressure. Hose reel pumpsets receive the monthly and six-monthly actions together at six-monthly intervals.
