Every registered provider must provide, and explain, the prescribed records and information to individuals accessing or seeking to access services (Rules 155-5 to 155-36, 155-55 to 155-70): information about and a copy of the Statement of Rights, with help to understand it, before or when services start; for home and community categories, information to help choose services that best meet assessed needs within available resources; clear and understandable invoices; the complaints document, an explanation of section 168 and a copy of the Code of Conduct; for home and community settings an explanation of means testing, cessation grounds and notice, care planning, monthly statements and the Support at Home Service List; for residential care the grounds on which a resident may be asked to leave and relevant home policies; residential providers holding lump sums must notify within 7 days of an accommodation agreement, and give within 7 days of request (and annually within 4 months of year end) permitted-use summaries, compliance statements, refund data, investment objectives, the prudential audit opinion, audited accounts and the individual's register entry; providers in the home and community categories (other than government entities) must offer a simple presentation of their financial position and audited accounts within 7 days of request.
