ACT Residential Tenancies Act 1997 s12-3: s 12(3) Precontractual information pack

Before the agreement commences the lessor must give the tenant: the lessor's full name and an address for service and contact; a copy of any energy efficiency rating statement for the habitable part of the premises (a fresh statement where rated building work has changed it); the asbestos assessment report if one exists and can be obtained, or otherwise the asbestos advice; a written statement whether the premises meet each applicable minimum housing standard, and if not the reason and the proposed compliance date, or the reason for an exemption; on request a copy of the minimum housing standards records; for a unit, the unit title rental certificate and any changed information; and the statements that apply to crisis accommodation, temporary housing assistance and subsidised accommodation eligibility.
