ACCME Accreditation Requirements and Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education P-CONTENT: CME content definition, AMA PRA Category 1 Credit activities comply with all ACCME requirements, and business and management procedures meet obligations

CME means activities that keep up, build or extend the knowledge, skills, professional performance and relationships a physician draws on in serving patients, the public or the profession, within basic medical science, clinical medicine and the delivery of healthcare. Every activity carrying AMA PRA Category 1 Credit has to be built and delivered under every ACCME requirement and under the AMA PRA program rules, and is subject to ACCME review. The provider has to run the business side of its CME program (people, money and legal duties) in a way that honours what it has committed to.
