AASB 1 First-time Adoption of Australian Accounting Standards
Optional exemptions from other Standards (paragraphs 18 and 19, Appendices C, D and E) – AASB 1 First-time Adoption of Australian Accounting Standards

AASB 1 First-time Adoption of Australian Accounting Standards D34-D35: Revenue: the AASB 15 modified transition reliefs may be used with the date of initial application read as the start of the first reporting period, and contracts completed before the earliest period presented need not be restated

What does D34-D35 require?

A first-time adopter can use the practical expedients in paragraph C5 of AASB 15, reading the date of initial application as the beginning of the first reporting period under the Standards, and if it does so it also gives the paragraph C6 disclosures about which expedients were used and their likely effect. A completed contract, one in which all goods or services identified under the previous GAAP had been transferred before the earliest period presented, need not be restated.
