Western Australia Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 50A-50I: Smoking and e-cigarettes: smoke-free enclosed workplaces, notices and protection from second-hand smoke

What does 50A-50I require?

Division 7A, specific to Western Australia, bans individuals from using a tobacco product or an e-cigarette inside an enclosed workplace (a defined term covering workplaces enclosed by a roof and walls to the extent the regulations describe), with a defence for a private vehicle or residence used as a workplace in the circumstances stated. Whoever manages or controls the enclosed workplace must display notices of the smoking restriction, inspectors may require an individual to stop smoking, and a business must manage the risk to workers and others from exposure to second-hand smoke, vapour or aerosol.
