Victoria Owners Corporations Act 2006 60: Public liability insurance for the common property

What does 60 require?

An owners corporation must take out public liability insurance for the common property covering liability to pay compensation for bodily injury, death or illness and for damage to or loss of property arising from an occurrence in connection with the common property, for at least the prescribed amount (regulation 10 prescribes the minimum cover). Sections 63 and 64 relieve an owners corporation of the insurance duties only where there is no common property or another owners corporation on the same plan already holds the cover.
