An employer or self-employed person required by r 319S to use a dust control system must ensure it is operated and maintained so that the risk of people breathing crystalline silica dust is removed as far as reasonably practicable, or, where removal is not reasonably practicable, is lowered as far as reasonably practicable. Act compliance is through ss 21, 23 and 24.
