Where a court orders a provider of electronic communications service or remote computing service to whom a warrant, subpoena or court order is directed not to notify any other person of its existence, for the period the court sets, the provider must comply. A court makes the order where notification would endanger life or safety, lead to flight, destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of witnesses, or otherwise seriously jeopardize an investigation or unduly delay a trial.
