The 7(a) Lender disburses per the Terms and Conditions and documents each disbursement (SBA Form 1050 or its equivalent signed at first disbursement, except SBA Express, Export Express and 7(a) Small, with later disbursements attached) showing recipient, date, amount and purpose, supported by joint payee checks, paid invoices or receipts, or electronic transfers with invoices (ordinary working capital outlays excepted). Except for SBA Express and Export Express (where it verifies only if its non-SBA practice does), it verifies the SBA-required equity injection before any disbursement: a copy of the check or wire with evidence it cleared into the Borrower's account or escrow, the source account statement covering at least 30 days showing the funds were available, and the deposit statement or settlement statement showing the use; a note, gift letter or financial statement alone is not enough, and borrowed injections need their repayment and standby or subordination terms addressed. Failure can lead to repair or denial; the evidence goes with any purchase request.
