UNECE WP.29 R156 7.1.3.3: Appropriate verification and validation of vehicle software

What does 7.1.3.3 require?

The processes used to verify and validate software functionality and code for software used in the vehicle are appropriate. The Interpretation Document: only properly tested updates reach vehicles, minimising bug-fix updates; appropriate means meeting a justifiable level of expectation argued with claims and evidence; 7.1.3.3 confirms the processes and 7.1.2.5(i) records their application (outside ISO 24089's scope).
