Maintenance staff and contractors keep to the hygiene rules the site sets for people and processes (11.2.2.1); on-site maintenance and engineering contractors either receive training in the site's hygiene and food safety rules or are escorted until the job ends (11.2.2.2); after any job they remove all tools and debris and tell the area and maintenance supervisors so hygiene and sanitation can be done and a pre-operational inspection completed before operations restart (11.2.2.3).
