Samoa Telecommunications Act 2005 70: Comply with police or disaster authority directions in emergencies

In a public disaster or state of emergency, service providers comply with directions of the Commissioner of Police or the chief executive of the ministry responsible for disaster coordination to respond to or alleviate problems faced by the public or Government; demonstrated compliance costs, but not lost revenue during service suspension, may be claimed from the Regulator (70). The National Emergency Telecommunication Plan sets the sector's emergency arrangements.
