When a person applies, a lessor or agent that usually uses tenancy databases gives written notice of each database's name, that it is used to check tenancy history and how to contact the operator (this can be on the application form). If a check finds a listing about the applicant, within 7 days the lessor or agent tells the applicant in writing the database name, that information about them is listed, the listing entity's details where held, and how they can obtain a copy and have it amended or removed.
