No person causes, attempts or conspires to cause detriment (including to safety or career, such as dismissal) to another because anyone has given or may give information or other assistance to the QFCC, a sector regulator, a child safe entity or a reporting entity; it is enough that this is a substantial ground (s 60). Taking a reprisal is an offence (maximum 100 penalty units) (s 61). People giving information in good faith and without negligence are protected from liability (s 59).
