Entities should disclose information under chapter 4 in a timely way, even unrequested, as far as appropriate to the QFCC's functions and the protection of children, while keeping the identity of any child the information is about protected so far as practicable (s 47). Prescribed child safe entities (the QFCC, sector regulators, child safe entities, public sector entities and others) may share confidential information with each other to respond to a concern about non-compliance with the standards or to assist the QFCC (s 48); prescribed entities may share information for the reportable conduct scheme (ss 49 to 52).
