A child safe entity (or its head, where the entity is not a person) that receives a compliance notice takes the required action by the stated date (at least 14 days after the notice) unless it has a reasonable excuse; non-compliance is an offence (maximum 100 penalty units), may lead to a court order and civil penalty, and may be published (ss 18, 23, 24).
