Prince Edward Island Occupational Health and Safety Act General Regulations P7: Temporary heat: safe storage of fuel, placement and clearance of fuel-fired heaters, no portable heaters in confined spaces or exits, a fire extinguisher at every heater, supported and guarded steam piping

What does P7 require?

Where temporary heating is used the employer ensures that liquid fuel or gas kept beyond what one day needs is stored safely and as Part 7 requires, that fuel-fired heating devices and temporary furnaces stand on the ground or a non-combustible floor (or on 76 mm of non-combustible material over wood) with the prescribed clearances and venting, that portable heaters are not used in confined spaces or placed in or next to a means of egress, that an approved extinguisher of adequate size is at hand at every temporary heating device, and that temporary steam piping is securely supported and insulated or guarded where workers could touch it.
