At each workplace the employer provides proper toilet facilities, kept clean and in working order, with privacy, heat, light and ventilation: a lockable room where fewer than ten people work, separate lockable facilities for each sex where ten or more work, numbers per the table where running water exists, and privies or chemical toilets with handwashing to an officer's satisfaction where it does not, sheltered and provided from the start of a project. Emergency eyewash and shower equipment is provided where eyes or skin could meet harmful or corrosive material. An adequate, accessible supply of drinking water is provided, marked where needed, in clean covered containers with a drain tap where not piped, with individual cups unless a fountain is used. A clean lunch and rest room is provided that does not open directly into a toilet and is separated from any place where food could be contaminated, and no worker brings food or drink into any room where a contaminating process runs. An officer may waive these Parts for small mobile outdoor crews.
