PCI DSS 4.0
Req 6: Secure Systems and Software

PCI DSS 4.0 6.2.2: 6.2.2 Annual secure software training for developers

Staff who develop bespoke and custom software must receive training at least every 12 months that: addresses software security relevant to their job and to the development languages they use; covers techniques for secure coding and for designing secure software; and, where security testing tools are in use, explains how to operate those tools to find vulnerabilities in software. It applies to all entities with in-house or contracted developers of bespoke and custom software. Objective under the customized approach: developers stay current on secure development practice, software security and attacks aimed at the languages, frameworks or applications they build, and can obtain help and guidance when they need it.

You are reading one control. How much of PCI DSS 4.0 have you already done?

PCI DSS 4.0 6.2.2 is one control. If you already hold one of the frameworks below, a reviewed crosswalk already says how much of PCI DSS 4.0 your existing evidence covers. Hold ISO 27001:2022 and 139 of 280 PCI DSS 4.0 controls already carry evidence.

Each report names every control your existing framework evidences, every one it does not, the reasoning behind each claim, and the claims that were argued against and rejected. 415 were rejected on the ISO 27001:2022 pair alone.
