The landlord charges the tenant for water usage only where the premises are separately metered (or water is delivered by vehicle), have the prescribed water efficiency measures, and the charge does not exceed what the landlord paid for the tenant's use. It gives the tenant the relevant part of the water bill or other evidence, allows at least 21 days to pay, asks within 3 months of the bill being issued, and passes on any rebate received for water charges the tenant pays or paid.
