NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010 s36: s 36 Give rent receipts with the six required details

Whoever receives rent paid in person (other than by cheque) gives a receipt at once, and for a cheque makes the receipt available or gives it; the receipt shows who received the rent (or for whom), who paid it (or for whom), the premises' address, the period and paid-to date, the payment date and the amount. The Land and Housing Corporation and the Aboriginal Housing Office are exempt.
