Part 3: kilojoule display at standard food outlets (sections 23 to 30) – NSW Food Regulation 2025

NSW Food Regulation 2025 27: Businesses outside the threshold that choose to show kilojoules must use the same prescribed calculation and display rules

What does 27 require?

A business that voluntarily displays the energy content of a standard food item, or of a portion of one, is treated as meeting the scheme only if it uses the Standard 1.2.8 and Schedule 11-2 calculation: average energy of the whole item in kilojoules outside supermarkets, and whole item or 100 grams in supermarkets, with rounding to the nearest 10 kJ allowed.

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
