Every primary and secondary data centre that holds government or regulated sector data is designed, built and run to an auditable standard: facilities with Level 3 or 4 data to Tier III of the Uptime Institute scheme or Rated-3 of TIA-942, certified for the design and for the facility as built, and facilities hosting Level 2 data to at least Tier II or Rated-2. These standards apply to providers seeking NITDA certification, platform onboarding, government recognition or assurance status.
