Section 11: Migration, deployment, decommissioning and sovereign compute – Nigeria NITDA National Cloud Technical Guideline 2026

Nigeria NITDA National Cloud Technical Guideline 2026 11.3: Secure the migration with end-to-end encryption, TLS 1.2 or higher, integrity verification and an immutable audit trail

What does 11.3 require?

Data migration is protected end to end by encryption and by secure transfer protocols (TLS or IPsec) configured to current secure versions, TLS 1.2 or higher; data integrity is verified after migration with hashing or checksums; and every migration activity is logged in an immutable audit trail for accountability and forensics. Providers may align with international interoperability standards where that is consistent with Nigerian law, preserves jurisdictional control, promotes portability and reduces lock-in.
