Clause 3.3 Planning and implementation: initial review, objectives, HIRARC, emergencies, change, procurement, contracting – MS 1722:2011 Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems Requirements

MS 1722:2011 Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems Requirements 3.3.1: An initial review of the existing OSHMS and arrangements by the employer with competent persons and employees, documented, used as the planning basis and the baseline for improvement

What does 3.3.1 require?

The organisation's existing system and arrangements must be evaluated through an initial review; where no system exists or the organisation is new, the review becomes the foundation for building one. The employer carries it out with the help of competent persons and in consultation with employees or their representatives. The result must be documented, serve as the basis for planning and deciding how to implement the OSHMS, and provide the baseline against which continual improvement is measured.
