Clause 3.2 Organising: responsibility, competence, documentation, communication – MS 1722:2011 Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems Requirements

MS 1722:2011 Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems Requirements 3.2.2: Defined OSH competence requirements, access to sufficient competence, and training needs identified, delivered and recorded for all members of the organisation

What does 3.2.2 require?

Unless the authorities define them, the employer must define the OSH competence requirements and maintain arrangements so that everyone is competent for the safety and health side of their duties. The employer must have, or have access to, enough OSH competence to run the system, must identify training needs and run training for every member of the organisation so the OSHMS is implemented effectively, and must establish and maintain training records.
