Jordan Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 24 of 2023) DPO-3(B): DPO Accreditation Criteria, Article 3(B) to (D): Council approval before appointing a DPO for critical infrastructure; Central Bank accreditation for its supervised entities

Where processing relates to critical infrastructure in telecommunications and information technology, energy and minerals, water and irrigation, health or transport, the controller may appoint the DPO only after the Council approves; the Council may add further cases. For entities supervised by the Central Bank of Jordan, the Central Bank is the accrediting authority.
