Jordan Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 24 of 2023) DPO-3(A): DPO Accreditation Criteria, Article 3(A) and (E): appoint and register the DPO in the Unit's registry

A controller appointing a data protection officer under Article 11(A) of the Law must record the appointment in the registry of controllers, processors and DPOs published on the Unit's website, submitting a letter of experience, a good conduct certificate, a copy of the national ID card, a personal photo, address and contact details, and qualifications and CV. A controller may appoint a DPO voluntarily even where the Law does not require one.
