Data is aggregated, transformed, normalised or re-coded and processed into the planned indicators, which are reviewed and analysed with a rigour suited to the data and the needs. The information items are made up of the results of analysis, the indicators, the interpretations and the supporting material, every interpretation taking the context of the measures into account; the analyst draws initial conclusions, which other stakeholders review because the analyst is often outside the technical and management processes. The review, informal self-review or formal inspection with Annex G as a guide, confirms that analysis and interpretation were done properly and the needs met, and the products are gone through with the providers and the users so they are meaningful and where possible actionable, qualitative information supporting the interpretation of quantitative results.
