Recommendations for processing (text not held): select processing tools that can handle the data types in the matter and report their exceptions; apply volume reduction (system-file removal, date and file-type filters, deduplication, keyword and more advanced methods) in a documented, explainable way and, where appropriate, by agreement with the other party; treat exceptions such as encrypted, corrupt or image-only files explicitly; and prepare processing capability in advance, as ISO/IEC 27050-4 addresses under proactive processing.
