The organization should determine the technological solutions the plans rely on to meet the objectives, the failover, replication, backup and restoration, alternative infrastructure and cloud arrangements selected in 9.2.4 and 9.2.5, specifying for each how it is activated, what it delivers, what it depends on, and how it has been proven, so that the plan's procedures rest on solutions that exist and work. The Foreword records this sub-clause as new technical content in the second edition.
