ISO 55001:2024 4.5.2: Criteria

What does 4.5.2 require?

When the organization sets its asset management decision criteria it takes into account (a) the effects a decision can have and how long those effects can last, (b) how complex the decision is, (c) how urgent it is or how much time is available to take it, and (d) the capabilities matching (a) to (c). A note adds that the time, cost and effort spent preparing a decision should be in proportion to those four matters.
