Top management shall make sure relevant roles have their responsibilities and authorities allocated and made known, and shall give the energy management team the responsibility and authority to: make sure the EnMS is set up, put into effect, kept up and continually improved; make sure it meets this standard; carry out action plans that keep improving energy performance; report to top management, at intervals that have been determined, on how the EnMS performs and how energy performance has improved; and set the criteria and methods needed so that the EnMS is operated and controlled effectively.
